Nailcare Tips:

Find your perfect shape
To find a nail shape that suits you, just take a look at your nail beds. Curved beds look better with rounded tips. Flat nail beds look good with squared edges. Go in between if you're unsure: Create a slight oval at the center of your tips, then softly square the edges of your nails to get what top manicurists call the "squoval."

Repair a painful break
If you’ve broken a nail past your fingertip, don’t fret. Simply create a "patch" that will hold you over. Cut the film of a tea bag slightly longer than the break. Next, apply a layer of base coat to the nail and place the tea bag strip over the crack. Then all you have to do is apply your favorite top coat to seal it in place.

Make short nails look long
Dark colors always make tiny nails look even more miniscule. Always leave a 16th of an inch border around your cuticle and along the sides of the nail. This trick forms a "frame" around the color, which creates an optical illusion that the nail itself extends beyond the polish, making it look longer.
